The excursion on Lake Turano aboard the THIORA boat is the big new attraction on the lake!

For the very first time, a sightseeing tour service on Lake Turano.
An innovative, modern, and eco-friendly offering that allows people of all ages to experience the lake like never before.
We are also proud to announce that Thiora is the only electric boat in the entire Lazio region to offer this service in an environmentally sustainable way!

Thanks to our ultra-quiet, 100% eco-friendly boat—powered by electric motors and solar panels—you will enjoy a unique and sustainable experience. Handcrafted in Italy and featuring cushioned seating, small tables, and optional background music, it is the perfect way to explore the lake without harming the environment.

The tour lasts at least one hour and is accessible to everyone.

Every stop is an emotion; every view tells a story.

With audio guides in English and Italian, you will discover history, legends, and fascinating facts. We will admire the waterbirds and describe the flora of the Valley. Every word will make the journey even more captivating.

Starting from the floating platform beneath the Castel di Tora bridge—next to the Ristorante l’Angoletto—we will sail towards the dam, gliding past the villages reflected in the water.
We will then pass under the bridge, arriving before the abandoned village of Antuni, the mountains of the Nature Reserve, and the striking rock formations of the Turano—the guardians of the valley!

Don’t wait to experience this—book your spot now!

F.A.Q

What does the tour involve?
The tour lasts approximately 60 to 70 minutes.

During the boat ride, you can listen to audio guides via headsets—available in Italian or English—featuring commentary on the history of the lake, the local villages, Borgo Antuni, the Nature Reserve, the local flora and fauna, regional culinary specialties, and many other interesting facts about the area.

We will sail first towards the dam, then towards the villages along the shore, before passing under the bridge to admire Antuni. We will then head towards the "faraglioni" (rock stacks)—the guardians of the Valley—where the view opens up to reveal the Nature Reserve, Ascrea, and Paganico; along the way, we will admire the hermitage and try to spot the local birdlife.

The captain is always available to provide further information and explanations.
Who is the tour suitable for?
The boat welcomes passengers of all ages, from 0 to 99 (and even centenarians—who travel for free, of course!); it is also accessible to people with disabilities, provided they are accompanied where necessary.
Please note that the final stretch of the path leading to the jetty, while free of steps, has an uneven surface and may not be suitable for wheelchairs or individuals with mobility issues.
We advise everyone to take care when walking along this section.
How can I book/purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased in advance EXCLUSIVELY on this page to guarantee your spot (RECOMMENDED OPTION),
or directly at the pier between 60 and 15 minutes before each departure, subject to availability.
Telephone bookings are not accepted.

Cancellations - Refunds
For cancellations requested by passengers as well as those due to technical or weather-related issues, please refer to the TERMS OF SALE.
Where does boarding take place?
The boarding point is at the pier beneath the Castel di Tora bridge, at "Angoletto Beach," opposite the L’Angoletto restaurant.
You can also reach it by passing under the bridge via the path with the barrier, located next to the parking area.
Where can I park?
You can leave your car in the parking area near the bridge or, if that is full,
in the vicinity of the sports field/Bar La Casina, or in designated spots along
the S.P. Turanense road, then walk the short distance to the bridge.
How early should I arrive for the tour?
If you have purchased your ticket online, simply arrive at the boarding pier 10 minutes before your scheduled time. Otherwise, we recommend arriving at least 20 minutes early to check availability and purchase your ticket.
What can/can't I bring or do on board?
ONBOARD CONDUCT

For safety reasons, standing up or walking around while the boat is moving is NOT permitted. During docking, everyone must remain seated and wait for the Captain's signal to stand up and disembark; this is only allowed once the boat is safely moored.

FOOD & DRINK
Bringing your own food or drinks on board is not permitted, with the exception of water.

CIGARETTES
Smoking is NOT permitted on board.

LUGGAGE
Small backpacks or bags (max weight 5kg) are allowed. Passengers are responsible for their own luggage during boarding, the cruise, and disembarkation.

BICYCLES
Generally, bicycles are not allowed, but please contact us to see if an exception can be made. In any case, they can be left safely next to the dock.
Children: rules and costs.
The boat is certified to carry only 16 people, and this limit does not distinguish between adults and children. Therefore, much to our regret, we must charge a fee—albeit a reduced one—for children over the age of two.

Please note that minors remain the sole responsibility of their parents throughout the activity, including boarding and disembarkation. They must also remain seated and not lean over the side.
Vivi Turano accepts no liability in the event that these rules are not followed. Regarding STROLLERS: they may be brought on board subject to available space and weight limits. If bringing them on board is not possible, they may be left on the dock.
Can I bring my dog?
Your friends are our friends too, and they are welcome on board, though there are some limitations.
We can accommodate a maximum of two small-to-medium-sized dogs (up to 15 kg each) at a time; they must be kept on a leash, remain under your supervision throughout the tour, and are not permitted on the seats. If the dogs are incompatible with one another, access may be restricted to just one dog. We will do our best to accommodate you, but notifying us at the time of booking does not 100% guarantee that the dogs can come aboard (there is no automated "dog counter" in our system).
What should I wear?
No special attire is required, but we recommend comfortable clothing and footwear—please avoid high heels or flip-flops.
It is always a good idea to bring a sweatshirt and/or a windbreaker. In any case, the boat is equipped with transparent roll-down blinds that the captain may use on very cold days.
Is swimming in the lake allowed during the tour?
There is no scheduled swimming stop on this tour.
If you are part of a group and would like to swim, you can contact us to book a private tour that includes the chance to dive into the blue-green waters of Lake Turano!
